This service is for household appliances, rather than commercial or industrial equipment. We do not handle hazardous materials or refrigerant removal. Send photos of unusual items so we can confirm whether they can be included.
Disconnect First. We Handle the Lifting.
Before pickup, appliances must be fully disconnected from water supply lines, drain lines, gas lines, hardwired electrical connections and any other utilities. Hogtown does not disconnect these connections or provide plumbing, electrical, HVAC or appliance-repair services.
If you need help disconnecting an appliance, arrange that work with an appropriate professional before removal day. Let us know when it is ready, and we can plan the haul-away.
You Generally Don't Need to Move It to the Curb
Once the appliance is disconnected, we can remove it from inside a home, apartment, garage or another accessible area when there is safe, reasonable access. You generally do not need to carry it outside first.
Tell us about stairs, elevators, narrow doorways, long hallways or parking limitations when requesting a quote. Photos of the appliance and its route out help us assess the work involved.

Is City Appliance Collection an Option?
The City of Gainesville offers appliance collection at no additional charge to homes served by its Residential Curbside Service Program. An appointment is required. Appliances must be curbside by 7 a.m. on collection day; the City does not collect them from garages or inside the home.
